IMPLEMENTATION OF TURNITIN/SIMILARITY INDEX CHECKING FOR RESEARCH PROTOCOLS

To further strengthen the quality, integrity, and credibility of all research outputs in our institution, our office Professional Education Training and Research Unit (PETRU) will now conduct Turnitin/Similarity Index checks for all employee research papers prior to final binding.

Effective immediately, all research proponents are required to submit their final manuscript (MS Word format) to PETRU for similarity screening. Only papers that have undergone and passed the similarity check will be endorsed for final binding and completion.

Submission Requirements:

1. Soft copy in MS Word (.doc/.docx) format

2. Final edited version of the manuscript

3. Cover page with complete details (Title, Author/s, Division/Unit)

Process Flow:

l Researcher submits manuscript to PETRU

l PETRU runs the Turnitin/Similarity Index check.

l Similarity Report is released to the researcher.

l Researcher makes revisions if necessary.

l Clearance for final binding is issued.

This initiative aims to uphold ethical research standards and ensure originality in all research works produced by our employees. For submissions and inquiries, please contact the PETRU at tel. # 82817226.

Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to quality research.
